fixed.org.au race(s) at the BCC open
« on: January 12, 2009, 01:03:04 PM »

Is anyone interested in contributing a couple of dollars to a fixed.org.au race at the upcoming Brunswick Track open? Last year we donated about $120 and had the fixed.org.au womens points race and elite mens keirin. The open will be held in conjunction with the J11/J13 Victorian championships on Saturday 31st January. The senior program starts at 7pm.

If you are interested, please send $5 to paypal and I'll work it out. Should be a great meet.

Cash in person, Paypal to ndf at undershorts dot org or

Will said race require the use of a potato, have a potato for a prize (How about some Thomas Chipman chips, I hear there's a fantastic story behind them...), or just be called a potato race?

I like Kipfler potates the best, they're nice and waxy and go great in a salad.

Thanks for all your support! We've raised enough to get a race at the open. I'll pass it over to Alf tonight. Hope you all can make it along on the night.

Great racing last night. Brunswick put on a very organized and entertaining race format. Both from a racing and spectating point of view. Great fast paced racing and great commentating from Philthy. I brought some newbies down who have never seen track cycling before and they were very excited. Well done to everyone at BCC and those that cheered me on.
