I hate these winter races. I'm too far out of condition. Does anyone have some domestiques i can hire? Or amphetamine injectors?

Thanks Nath. Some good pics there.
Especially the zebra guy. I'm glad we beat the Mapei squad. And it was fun watching them come onto the track and fall straight off the banking Smiley

Did I finish too late & miss them? shocked  Great afternoon of FUN. I knew there was a lot of cobbed alleys around Melb but not this many. Great work for finding all these jems. Especially 'Col de la what the fuck!' (what was it called again?). That's a Classic Cheesy

I think they were around while you were there. Weren't they with the zebra guy?

Even so, it was great to see a mixed crowd having fun. The roadies weren't afraid to bounce the alu/cf over the pave.

So a HUGE thanks to Andy and Ugly for doing such a great job of organising it.

And in case you don't already know, the polaroids will be in a glass cabinet in Flinders Lane, between Swanston and Elizabeth - right where Missing Link used to be.

And check out this nutcase!!!!!

Great work with the photos Nath!  I managed to lug my camera around and not take a single one.

And great work all round with the ride.

Very nice pics Nath.

What a tough ride!  Went over my bike this morning and noticed that my one week old tyre is pretty chewed up.

As for the Mapei squad, my "insider" informed me that they were trying to re-create the roobait(sp?) of 199? when three Mapei riders finsihed top three.  They even wore the same numbers on the backs of their jerseys.  Nice to see that some roadies have a sense of humour.

No. I do not ride for fashion and I do not care if your bicycle is prettier than mine.

My headset has been sobbing all night and the front hub has loosened up a bit too - tough ride indeed. And they reckon Paris-Roubaix is hard!
