$10000 kids trike with phil hubs

It’s nice (I like the tight geo) but I don’t see how it cost $10,000.

Even if every part was custom made it wouldn’t cost that.

Yeah, I fail to understand the price-tag, but DAYUMMMM that thing is nice.

Is that $10,000 to build or $10,000 to buy?

They’re kinda slow on the uptake, Sacha built this for the 2006 NAHBS. The figure is more of a “it’s not for sale, but if you offered me $10K…”. It certainly didn’t cost him $10000 to build, poor reporting.

It won ‘Best in Show’ btw

Which would you rather have, this or a mass produced $10000 crabon fribe road bike?

I’ll take the mass produced crabon bike, thanks!

Thought it might be something like that, those figures just weren’t adding up for it to cost $10,000 to build.

I’d take the $10,000 carbon roadie any day of the week

and thats where we differ H.

mr white has a elegant touch with his builds. this is an example of that.

it is a an elegant trike… but a load of wank at the same time

i will probably take the carbon bike too thanks

well that’s ugly and fucking stupid.

don’t really understand the hate. its a work of art. supreme craftsmanship, and a nice story to go with it.

i will agree that it’s very well made but it’s only art in the same way tracey emin presenting a shit-stained bedsheet is a work of art. it is hardcore ugly. and the ‘price’ makes me want to fly a plane into a symbol of western consumption.

I wouldnt call it ugly, and its def well crafted but i would be wary about calling it art. Its a bike for children.

I will never have or even know a child that i would spend $100 on let alone $10,000.

lol, nicely put. as stated above, i don’t think its for sale (he made it for his daughter), but that price is what he would consider letting it go for. i think its reasonable.

as for hardcore ugly, i couldn’t disagree more, but yeah each to their own etc.

Exactly, it’s a fucking trike for gods sake.

And yes, I’d still take the $10,000 carbon road bike thanks.
