Dont know how many of you guys are interested in this type of stuff but local musician/artist Alex Gillies is having an exhibition of his first years work with woodblock etchings in the valley over the the weekend of the 17th of july.

its this weekend. I went along tonight to a little sneak preview and his work is incredible.
if you are in the valley or close to it or want something to take the misses too, make sure you see these.
i’ve been reading his blog, but i didn’t realise it was an alex i already internet knew. brisbane seems to have shrunk just a little in my mind.
nice work though, one of the skateboard decks is particularly cool, though i think it may not be in the show.
