new to this forum thingo

but maybe someone can give me advice

I have a red malvern star racer…converted to freewheel

what do i need to mod this to fixed gear? was told I would need some kind of spacer/clamp near the chain?? Im clueless

Eventually aiming to do the old beast up… just got new handle bars…getting new peddles next week

Hows the conversion going? I am in the middle of converting a Malvern star racer myself.

I removed the freewheel (well in the end took it to a local bike shop), put on a single speed sprocket, respaced the back wheel and now are in the process of redishing the wheel. Hopefully it will work out. Good luck for your conversion.
