Crack in Rear Dropout

I have an old Tange Cr-Mo frame that has a crack in the rear dropout.
Is it worth getting it re-welded or does it have to be heated, removed and another brazed in.
I live in Adelaide and wondered if there was anyone who still did that type of thing.

A picture tells a thousand words.

Good point.
I’ll see what I can do.

Thanks Dice. Did things arse backwards today. Took frame to my local small lbs and for $50 they will re-weld the frame and keep the integrity of the Suntour dropout.
After getting home I messed around with my partners camera and photobucket and have created an album/ library of one of my bikes and a frame/ fork combo.

Nice. I like the baby blue roadie with Ritchey dropouts - any idea who made it? In any case you should post this in the ‘Retro Roadie’ thread.

Which bike shop was this?

Bernie Jones Cycles at Warradale, SA

They have helped before, even if it’s just getting a headset attached or general advice.

They were all over this repair

Oh nice, I have one of their road frames from the 70’s, I love the angles.
