It depends if you’re buying a bike for art, or for function. I doubt any frame I own will ever make it to my kids, mostly because I’ll have ridden the damn things into the ground!
And I was by no means labeling you a wanker, spirito!

I got that you were joking Spirito. Just as Ling is the generic frame builder getting paid 10c an hour in a factory in Taiwan. 😉
It was my understanding that the carbon frames have been outsourced while the steel, aluminium and titanium (oh how I lust after a de Rosa Titanio!) are made in the factory in Milano. Or is the outsourcing even more prolific than this?

A snob too !!! But I also like stuff that most people poo-poo or call junk, not afraid to cut the BS. Been there, done that and I often eat my words. Time often humbles me.

I wore bike jersey’s to clubs in the mid to late 80’s. The louder the better.
Wore one to a party in NYC around 2000. My mates laughed till Chloe Sevigny came over to chat and mentioned the “cool jersey”.
Made a guest appearance DJ’ing at a party in 2007 (one off). Rocked a long sleeve GIS Gelati jersey to suit the old skool tunes and set the tone. The kids were taking notes + inspiration 😉 (maybe it was the drugs were kicking in)
