but HOW and WHY did you drill the fork for a brake…

and does it cause flex in the fork while you’re peddling? theres like no room for a brake on my fork. I wouldn’t do it if I had to it so clean without. Anyway I’m glad to see more ppl ride Aliens tho.

Thats good news

Aliens are Rad. I knew I was going to rock a front brake, but if I where to do it over again, I would have got a keirin brake kit, that way I could take the brake off after a while and have a clean fork, no holes or scratches.

There is no noticeable flex, the holes are pretty small. The clearance is tight, you’ve seen the article on Alienbikes.com (had them drill it). It works great, but I’m sad if I take the brake off it will show the scratched brake hole… and that I might die, cuz I’m a poser…

With the clamp-on brakes Handsome James’ used on his girls Vivalo, he put electrical tape under the clamps to protect the frame and over the clamps so they weren’t so obvious (and matched the frame).

Bigger here and here.

Just my experience with the same bike, brake and a few different leavers. works fine and I can do rolling endos with mine.

I have changed my pads but I didn’t even test out the factory ones. I find that the kool stop pads allow for more adjustment and have served me well in the past.

If you are after performance dual shot is probably not the best option. But best option if want lots of hand positions, for emergencies and keeping on side with johnny law.

Is any one able to do me a favor and measure the center of the bolt that holds it all togeather straight down to the top of the metal clamp as I read that they don’t all fit cause the lugs are in the way has anyone put a brake on the fork on the first page. I can’t get my hands on a clamp to make sure it fits before I buy on the net. The tube is round also
