has anyone attempted to replaced vertical with horizontals & resetting the rear width is it worth attempting?

yes i have,… it seems to have worked…
but i haven’t tried a proper track wheel in it yet, I’m confident of it working though.
Just a personal pet hate really, its like someone typing in capitals or using stupid mobile text speak when its quite easy to type the full word on a computer keyboard…

A friend of mine got the rear spacing reduced and it fucked his chain line.

No it did not make perfect sense. I had to read it twice.
Respacing the frame has no effect on chainline.
Unless they did a crap job and the stays weren’t an equal distance from the centreline of the frame.
