# Film screening permission?

So by the looks of things we’re going to do a screening of Macaframa at a pub in Adelaide. I just received a proper copy of the DVD this week. I tried contacting the Macaframa dudes to get permission to do the screening (just in case the pub wants it), but no word from them yet. Is it really worth getting it?

as long as you dont charge an entry fee/exploit profits that the macaframa guys could make. i dont see why not?

in practical terms its not going to matter. in strict legal terms you will be breaching copyright just by showing it in public. “public performance”
No different though really to the millions of people who ignore irrelevant copyright laws every day. roll on the film.
It is slightly boring though. you might want to make sure that you’re drunk…

Haha. We are doing it at a pub…
But I have seen it and the last few sections (Keo Curry, Steve B, Josh Hayes) are rad.
