riding down hills i guess is the one time where freewheel is useful.
i guess singlespeed is also good for avoiding pedal strike, if you’re got long cranks, or you’re doing lots of “wicked slalom shit”…
pedalling "full circles " just depends on having your feet properly clipped to the pedals, whether it’s fixed, singlespeed or geared.

The syd to melb ride would have been far more enjoyable FREEWHEELING all the descents.
Fixed has it’s advantages, but hype is not one.
It’s not all beer and fixed gears.
The ride might have been more enjoyable with gears too
