Hey guys,
I scored an old Malvern Star bike for free and I decided to convert it to fixed. I just picked up my wheels (alex rims, formula sealed hubs), but the front wheel doesn’t fit in the fork. There seems to be some spacers on the axle that make it too wide to fit inside the fork. I was just wondering if it’s safe to remove these spacers, or are they there for a reason? I’ve uploaded a photo so you can see what I’m talking about: hub.jpg picture by levymetal - Photobucket.
No doubt this has been covered before, but I searched and couldn’t find anything.
Thanks in advance,
Christian
