Gen Z Hipsters

I’m not afraid to admit that it was the simplicity/beauty/hipster side of fixies that drew me to them in the first place. It’s a little hard to imagine the city flooded with these though.

My fiance has the electra amsterdam…which I think is fantastic for girls. Even for guys, they can look good but I’d never consider one. But the downside is that it weighs about 4 times as much as my bike, has a turning circle twice the size of mine…and not very practical for anything more than 5 or 10kms.

I’m labelling their prediction a FAIL. Will be interesting to see what’s said if this post gets resurrected in a few years…
