These events are not illegal - riding in a manner that is outside of the law IS.
Be it no lights, bells, helmet, brakes… you can have a cry, but the law is the law and while we can all agree that argue targeting other problems is more important, what they choose to enforce is beyond our control.
AND i totally disagree with your final statement. Riding my bike has NEVER had anything to do with wanting to break the law.
That’s the kind of statement I’d use AGAINST you if I was a journalist/police.
I’ve participated in these events in London, SF, New York, Vancouver, Portland, as well as locally… what Nikcee said.
