Karaoke Songs

My Island Home! Cracker, especially for karaoke. Good one.

“No way, get fucked, fuck off.”

My go-to is always Proud Mary by Tina Turner.
Make sure it’s got the intro in there - “We, Never, Ever, Do, Nothin - Nice… and easy”

“Big wheels keep on turnin”

I always like to think that song is about 29er’s… Much in the same way I like to think James Hetfield was really into bicycle touring when he wrote “Wherever I May Roam”.

^^i suggested The Angels to my girlfriend and she said it was awesome but that NO ONE would do the crowd participation and that kills it really.

Very valid point

If it needs to be Australian, how about ACDC - If you want blood?

If it doesn’t have to be Australian…
tiffany - I think we’re alone now
Wilson Phillips - hold on
Elton John - Saturday nights alright for fighting
biggie - going back to cali

Speaking of the Angels: Take a Long Line would be a cracker karaoke track.

Or The Saints: (I’m) Stranded.

Edit: fucken hell, they’re both such great tracks.

^^no need for australian
more, “this is my situation and thinking” and getting people to talk karaoke generally.

angles/saints are killer.

man i’m going to listen to this shit for days now.

Caught part of the doco on the TV the other night, kept me from going to bed it was so good.

John Farnham - You’re The Voice

Is this the good karaoke (i.e. in a private room with a screen, lots of mics and everyone singing together)? Or the karaoke where you have to go up to the front of the bar by yourself and sing while everyone watches? Never understood the attraction of the second one.

Also: Crowded House-Don’t Dream it’s Over.

Pub with No Beer - then really bung on the Aussie accent.

^^second option. but i imagine it will be the gf’s entire work and that’s about it.

there’s a good karaoke scene here (if that’s a thing). people love it

That’s cos it’s awesome.

train - drops of jupiter
wu-tang - cream
iron maiden - number of the beast
