Kenevans restoration..

Maybe you suffer some rare form of obsessive compulsive bike disorder

haha EXTREMELY rare.

It’s hard to catch the colour with this crappy camera and in this crappy light.

FUCK.

YEAH.

hey i think i’ve got a Sánte RD in a box of parts at a mates house. It was in pretty good condition from memory. There may be some other stuff too, im not sure.

If you’re interested let me know.

It doesn’t look that bad in that photo.

I doubt that it is Columbus tubing because almost, if not all Kenevens have been Reynolds.

Isn’t that a Reynolds sticker on the fork?

My Ken track is Columbus, and a friend just got an SLX tubed road frame.

I had a Columbus Ken.

Ditto mine. Built by Mal.

Was 20 years ago, so I hope my aphabet is correct - was a mix of 2 track sets - SP and STX ?

ditto ditto. mine too.

  • 4 for columbus.

I’ve had Reynolds 531, 531c, 501, 653, 753, Columbus SL, SLX, Cromor, MS.

Then it depends on WHO built the Ken. The company changed hands so it’s hard to say - but I can tell you for certain based on the serial.

Like spud said, just ride it. It’s all steel.

it’s easy to determine if the tubes are butted - tap tap tap, and if you drop them on a scale you might have an idea based on what.

but really, who cares.

unless it’s MAX.

It’s great that there is interest in bringing old bikes back to former glory, respraying, repairing, rebuilding.

oh and riding.

user t3z has 2 columbus tubed ken pursuits, mine is reynolds 653, but was built after the company changed hands.

TC, if i get around to it could you share some of your knowledge as to year etc from my serial #??

this is fucking nice, pip.
