LightCycle Lighting Design Competition 2009 launch Melbourne

Electrolight, the company I work for has organized a lighting design competition called Lightcycle. An exhibtion of the entries and winners is opening this Friday 17th July and should be a lot of fun.

As 99% of fixed-gear riders seem to be industrial designers, I thought it would be of interest haha.

All are welcome, details below:

Cheers, Horatio

Electrolight invites you to the launch of LightCycle 2009.

LightCycle is a design competition forming part of the 2009 State of Design Festival.

We have issued entrants with a 1m strip of LED lighting and asked them to use their creativity to make a light fixture which embodies the principles of environmental sustainability.

We invite you to the opening of this exhibition where all shortlisted entries will be displayed and the winners announced.

Details:

Guildford Lane Gallery, 20-24 Guildford Lane Melbourne 3000
Friday 17 July from 6.30pm onwards
Exhibition runs till Saturday 25 July Sat-Sun 12-5pm Wed-Fri 12-9pm

I entered with a couple of friends (architects…not industrial designers).

Hope we win something…probably wont…hope there’s free beer…usually is.

Environmental sustainability…don’t make me laugh :-P…Here’s an idea, don’t switch it ‘on’, sustainable like a muth’a fucker…

Have a couple of friends entering, not really my style of lighting design though

How did I know you might have this to say Craig?

See you there?

Its usually a pretty good piss up
