Love the aero tubing, infact there’s nothing on it i can dissagree with. Even the rear lacing pattern is growing on me.

Ah cheers, I did get one off Velogear - I was a bit annoyed when they sent me a left hand lever, although they have offered a discount off a new lever. Having a bit of fun trying to fit the clamps onto the fork, though.
Makes it easy to keep the hub clean!

I was riding home today and was overtaken by a ‘Record’ stickered frame. He stopped just up ahead so I had a closer look, sure enough, it was a road version of my McBain! It was a red colour (similar to Aaron’s prior to respray), with Aero tubing. The levers were top mounted in true aero style. The dude said his Mum bought it in 1985. It was small (probably 51/52 ST at a guess) and although weathered looked to be in good condition.
He said it was alright, I said it was fantastic!
Unfortunately I was without a camera or anything to grab a phone number…hope I run into him again.
