My beast

Probably about time I posted my bike on here… ready for your scrutiny.

Got it as a generic off-the-shelf bike while living in London in 2008. Shipped it back with me and have been slowly swapping out parts since then. Finished repainting the frame in December and I think I’m finished tinkering. Quite happy to just ride it now!

Frame: Genesis Flyer 2008 Reynolds 520 cro-mo
Fork: Genesis Carbon
Wheels: Miche Primato 36h single-sided track hubs, Velocity Deep Vs w/Non-machined sidewalls, Swiss DT triple-butted spokes (build by Dan @ Shifterbikes)
Tyres: Vittoria Rubino
Crankset: Sugino RD 170mm, Sugino 48T
Bottom Bracket: Shimano BB-UN54
Track cog: Surly 18T
Chain: generic halflink chain
Pedals: MKS Sylvan Lite, CKC double toe clips, CKC double toe straps
Saddle: Brooks Swift w. chrome rails
Seatpost: Shimano Ultegra SP-6600 (stripped + polished)
Seatpost Clamp: Salsa Lip Lock (stripped + polished)
Handlebars: Nitto RB-018 Bullhorns 380mm
Stem: VO Ahead Stem 100mm
Headset: PRO RM-11
Brake lever: Dia-tech Dirt Harry (stripped + polished)
Brake Calliper: Shimano Sora BR-3300

This is a nice simple, quality bike. Good work man.

I dig it. Only thing I’d recommend is swapping the halflink chain for a good quality regular chain, there was a noticeable difference in ride quality when I did this on my bike.
