My street ride of late (09 Apollo Record)

This was originally set up for track and I hit it with a couple of cans of Belton, but seeing as I work weekends and uni has me by the balls I barely get onto the track.

So I chucked some el cheapo alloy risers/lock on grips, borrowed my Araya Super Aero/Miche Primato Pista wheelset for it out of my Bosomworth (i have 3 fixed wheel bikes but they all share 2 wheelsets and the OG ones out of this bike are on my black steel frame), put on some Suntour GPX pedals/unbranded 4gate toeclips/straps. Changed the POS ‘Prologo nago’ Saddle for an entry level Fizik Aliante Saddle that was lying around. Pretty comfy.
Swapped seatposts for an old one with a single bolt setup to set me backwards a little bit… frame is a little small for me on the track, but it’s fun to throw around on the streets and act up on.
The alloy frame is a little rigid after riding nothing but steel on the roads for the last 2 or so years

I’m thinking of stripping the frame back to raw this week, getting my SRAM Omniums powdercoated black and lacing up a black wheelset. hmmmmmm

Sick fixtie maaate!

I like it.

I’m into it.

that tubing looks interesting :sunglasses:

i wish they made these frames in sizes big enough for men!
looking good sime

yeah boy, i love lurker and your apollo

Ha! I just recently bought this bike. Not sure if it was from you Sime or someone else, but it was in a mates backyard and he said it belonged to his old housemate and that he’d be happy to part with it for a few bones.

Looks a bit different now though.

This was how it was when I picked it up.

Then after a respray and a clean up.
