I spent a short time in the bodyshop at GMH about 12 years back when things were booming. Conditions and equipment were pretty bloody flash and money was very good.
Personally I’m morally corrupted enough to not really concern myself too much about the conditions or workplace shortcomings of someone else. I’m no orphan I’m sure , but at least I’m willing to admit it.
I can however identify the difference between us and them and won’t buy this whole passion and dedication bullshit that people swallow when they see a video like this. yes Nitto make good stuff, but the fact is it’s just a profit making business like any other that will minimise it’s cost and labour to maximise it’s profit.
All you fanbois of name brand shoes and apparel are part of the deal too.
We are lucky to live in a country where conditions are good enough to earn good money to then spend on reasonably priced stuff made by less fortunate people somewhere else. Thats the reality of living in a first world country.
