have been ringin’ around everywhere for a octoliknk BB 68mm shell and a spindle length of 105 to 108 max if i have no other choice. Have seen dura-ace pista ones but i aint got that sorta cash.
Does what i want exist? have been told no by more than 1 shop. The cranks are da 7700’s.

just looked up shimano have Da 109.5mm octalink bbs to suit any shop should be able to get it for you. If your in melb I can order it for you pm me.
I could be wroung but i don’t think they made a shorter spindle for octalink than 109.5
i think your right even the track da seems to have that lenght . So my next Q is does octo link cranks sit "deeper on the spindle than square taper?
What you need to know is what your rear chain line in millimeteres is.
You can check here with sheldon brown for the chain line in mm of various Bottom brackets . For octalink off the top of my head they are all about 43.5.

Actually just done your work for you dura ace 7700 are 43.5 mm at a length of 109.5.
If your rear chain line is close to that you are set .

i also now have a spare dura ace octalink bb, english thread, 109.5 spindle, good condition
and
a spare 105 octalink bb, english thread, 109.5 spindle, good condition.
either is yours for the right price.
