With only a few days to go, I’m looking for folks to sign and share this petition for WA Minimum Passing Distance law, with our new WA Premier having pledged to trial MPD law in WA.

Article with the new Premier’s previous pledge:

FYI: The ousted Premier Colin Barnett had rejected MPD law, despite his Police Minister Liza Harvey being receptive to a trial. A consolation $330k+ was dropped into the “Might be a Mate” advertising campaign, spending taxes to appease the tax payer (classic Yes Minister).

Hopefully the MPD Law can be an official prompt for better Police and public education, ideally we can implement it with a clearer message and better leadership than other states have to date.

FYI, the close pass image used in the petition page, the Perth rider was told by the Police officer taking the report, that he should have been riding further left, in an 80-100kph close pass.

Signed, won’t be around for the rally ride but thanks for posting
