BLAKEY, Horatio is talking shit AGAIN!!!
The light that is, it’s different. The hub is the the same.
Yes, that’s exactly what Blakey said in his post.
Blakey’s wrong
Prove that this statement is wrong: You paid more money for an inferior lighting setup.
That light is great for 24hr MTB racing, plenty of light, spilled everywhere. Just what you want when there’s tight turns, branches, and no one coming at you.
On road / paths you will be like every other twat with a dealextreme hipo LED light, spilling light to the sky and into the eyes of oncoming people.
Inferior light? What are you smoking Blakey?
-I’m going to be using it primarily for both road AND MTBing at night for the exact reasons you mention. This is not going to be used as a bike path light.
-Revo has up to 800 lumen output (this is Supernova E3 triple output, far more than the Cyo).
-I understand the Revo has better low-speed performance compared to the E3 as it has been designed for MTBing in mind.
-It has a battery so has great stand-by functionality (up to an hour) when you stop pedalling
-It has a great mount that fits all my and my partners bikes, also it can be removed in seconds
-I can plug in my already purchased Exposure Redeye rear 80 lumen light so it is a complete solution.
-The SP/Exposure hub was bundled with the purchase and I got a great price.
The Cyo light is a great light too, but the Revo fits my needs better and I already have the Exposure mounts and rear lights. I don’t think you can generalize and say a certain light is the ‘best’ without asking the question of what the person is going to use it for.
If you use that on the road, expect cars to high beam you.
If you had read my first post (hah, ha, hahahaha), you would have seen this:
“This better not be for commuting.”
As a qualifying statement.
i am on the verge of clotheslining all those dicks on the gardiners creek trail with blinding singletrack lights the last few days. of the ~200 oncoming cyclists i see, something like 80 of them have ridic blinding or seizure inducing illumination. my educational current strategy is to hold one hand in front of my face while veering blindly across the path towards them and cursing. hopefully eventually they will get the idea. in the meantime i will be installing my own blinding light setup and aiming at their faces
"be seen, be safe“ was the motto.

GEEEE UUUUPPPSSSS
Boo ya!
fuck yeah Lemonslice
Keen to hear what you think of these.
I imagine they’d be perfect for a touring setup. Their steering is pretty crap for MTBing, supposedly. Tall Tom runs them and complains about how shit they are for control etc.
I loved my Mary’s on my rigid Inbred, very comfy.
They do make for an upright riding position which can be an issue on an already tall front end of a 29er.
I think they also sell them in Cro-mo after some reports of the alloy ones breaking. Mine are alloy.
Of course, this is in the past. No longer ride the Inbred or Mary’s.
Two cases (one for each bag) for Nexus 4 sized phones. Finally can stop worrying about that gigantic freakin’ phone sliding out of my pocket while riding.
Licence to this, Uni’s getting interesting now!
I want that. like, a lot.
it is delicious and will not last the afternoon.
