I bought a set of wheels and thinking of powder coating it. Would it survive if i use brake on it?
Some ppl run wheels without braking surface what kind of paint r they?

Dunno about powder. I guess it’s possible. It might not give you much friction though.
As for rims without a machined brake surface, they are usually anodised not painted. And the brake pads wear the anodising off sooner or later.

I checked the rims on my MTB a lil while ago and noticed the brake pads had actually worn some of the metal away, thats to say the sides weren’t square anymore. So I guess going by that the powder coat wouldn’t last long at all…?
