want!^

What’s the deal if it is raining?

That’s easy as the pie then. See you there.

Presume the deal - if it is raining, then we wear raincoats. I have a soft spot for raincoats.

It’s all going ahead rain hail or shine. The inside of the bowls club is pretty big and a lot of the stallholders will have marquees. It’s pushing on!

rain is only water, i,m sure you don,t fret going for a shower. embrace the rain

Just got home from the swap meet. Very impressed with the turn out, there were heaps of people and sooooo much pron.

I am interested in knowing what was the best deal people got on the day.

I got a Sram Red rear derailleur (small scuff) for $30.

Gypo def got the best deal of the day…

I’m sure he will chime in…

I got a NOS superbe Track lock ring for $10

I got a MINT 53t Colnago Pantographed chainring for $40!
I got given a set of Campagnolo C-Record Road Cranks in MINT condition
Got some goodies for gear brisbane aswell!

I was cutting my wrists that i missed a few bargains but you can’t have em all. I resisted temptation countless times, i defs ended up with cash in my pockets and a big grin!

From a breif chat with Richard and Gavin this afternoon, its looking like a 6 monthly event, maybe not the show’n’shine side of things but defs a swap meet! So many bargains to be had.

Oh and i got to ride Dubrat’s ballin Zipp/Softride/Pogo bike!

It was a top day, well executed.
So many glorious bikes on display.

My Fourth Fixie won me beer and a glass

I had a ball, many a delicious coffees had, many a things purchased!

Killer day i had a ball.
Sold some stuff and only bought food so well behaved.
The bike porn was honestly world class.
Got a second for the Llewellyn, Got to have a close look at Dans Healing, took Gypos Frezoni commuter for a spin met a few of the guys.
Im in for the next one for sure. everyone was so passionate, chilled such a good vibe.

Awesome day of bike. Managed to not buy a single thing so did well. The Porn was nuts, so much shiny goodness.

My jaw dropped when I saw the size of the event. I would not have thought there were that many velophiles in Brisbane, boy was I wrong. So well promoted and executed, well done to Gavin and the other organisers and volunteers.

I scored a set of sweet carbon bars for cheap, too shit scared to actually put them on the road bike so will use them on the indoor trainer bike instead. Should help bring the weight down

a few of you (and me) get in this album:

Yes…more Pushies Galore this year on Sunday 6/11 we will have a swap only at the Holland Park Bowls Club.

Gavin will post times and details soon.

Then we will do the big one again on the 15 July 2012.

I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank a few people for last Sundays effort, we have a great team that made it a great day.

First up Gavin, Jo, Glynn and Erin, could not have done it with out you guys. I would also like to thank all their families as well, that pitched in on the day.

The Volunteers were great to turn up and help out so much, and all day. Some were blown away with how big the bike scene is in Brisbane.

Big thanks to bowls club for the venue, and the men and ladies were very impressed with how clean the place was after that many people came through.

Thanks to the sponsors for jumping on board from the start, and donating great gear.

Great effort from the trade, swappers and the punters for coming along and making the day what is was.

To see so many show and shine bikes on the first one was great, nearly 100 bikes on the green was a good sight to see.

Eric and Gypsy, thanks for getting involved and helping us along the way.

l would also like to annonce that we raised $1100.00 for the Yeronga Flood Centre on the day.

Looking forward to seeing you all there again either at the swap in November or in July 2012.

Thanks

Richard
