Recent Bike buys.... Both NZ made, NOS

So after winning some a nice Suntour Superbe Pro Wheelset on trademe upon collection me and a buddy managed to clear out a ex racers garage…

Completed build photos to follow soon, but couldn’t help myself, been running round like a fucken muppet on crack. (images are pretty bad , sorry)

I scored a NZ Made Don Gibbs, 57 Square, Aero Columbus tubing, Columbus Post, fucken love it, and the paint job, plus ambrosio Tub rims and Suntour Superb Pro Hubs…

My buddy scored this NOS Bossumworth Pursuit, 57cm, Suntour Cranks, 650 Front, Bull horns and Cinelli Pista drops and Stem. Dude said he bought new 18 years ago, raced it once… In mint condition! He’s thinking he might sell though as it’s a tad small. Would be Frame, Fork, Campag Chorus Headset
Guess watch the forum or PM if interested.

Very nice. So do bullhorns actually have a history of use in racing? I always assumed they were more of a street thing…

Lots of the early pursuits rolled bullhorns, got you low down and in a better position than drops on a pursuit

You lucky dogs
Very nice frames.

Very nice scores…
There are some very nice NZ built frames goin around…
My old man who still lives there works with an ex-olympic track rider whom im trying to get him to unload sum of his bikes that he no longer uses…

They are correctly called ‘pursuit bars’ - for a good reason.

I’m really liking the Gibbs.

Hooters, titty witties.

Suntour pro hubs very nice!

i love the paint job as well.

If you sneak a peak on the bozzy photo you can see the gibbs in the right rear and it’s rear fishbone stays.

I’ll have completed in the next 2 weeks or so, and then posted complete with good/ better photos…

Here it is finished up, the tittiesworth is still being tweeked…

It’s light as fuck, love it! way lighter than my other bike, so a nice change…

Nice Columbus Air tubing!

That is some serious bike porn!
can we have a spec list?

Columbus Air Tubing, Lugg
Sugino BB, Sugino Cranks, Customed Chain Ring
Dura Ace 7600 Track Pedals, double straps made by local oldie
Nitto Jag 110, B123 38cm Drops, Champ Grips
Columbus Air Post, Regal Saddle

Love it, love it love it. Thanx for ruining my day…

This is flippin’ nice.

Straight to the bike porn thread.

I really thought I liked the possumworth better until i saw the build of gibbs… that post is such a good balance for for the frame (obviously) and i reckon it would do a good job of balancing a pair of seep section rims too  BUT as is, it’s one of the top handful of bikes I’ve seen on this site

Nice Score, can you post a pic of the front lugs?

So have finally got a set of wheels I like on this, NOS Gipiemme 416 techno’s, rear laced to l/f 16 Hole Miche. Bladed spokes!!
