Revamped (?) code of conduct

A thermos and car jack.

i take it that some of the comments in there were made by those with qtr the brain size of my dog…but if they represent even just 5% of drivers out there, that’s pretty fkn scarry. feel bad for you guys. no wonder cyclists here still ride on footpaths

it’s the fkn gov’t. they’re dont seem to be doing enough to increase bicycle awareness and the use of it as means of transport. seems like more and more is being spent on building roads. ive got mates that work for vicroads and major engineering consultancies…they tell me how much the govt spends on roadwork…its fkn astonoshing. and yet, bike network seemed to have been ignored…looks to be the same as when i left several years ago! …oh and public transport could do with some improvement too.

full of hypocracies…psses me off. on one hand they champion recycling, conservation, etc…on the other they do sht that encourages car use. WTF

sorry, sort of gone on a tanget, but i just feel all that feeds driver’s ‘ownership’ of road :x

It’s scary how conditioned we are to feeling the need to own a car. I keep having these thoughts about how nice it would be to buy a new car. and then i quickly remember that i haven’t driven the car outside my house since june or july. and that i hate driving. absolutely hate it. there’s a time and a place but for getting around melbourne other than late at night it’s such a pain in the arse. but I still have these fantasies about a new car. it’s really quite strange.

The attitude of some drivers is particularly frightening. The way some people ride is pretty scary too, although at least they’re only in control of 10kg of steel instead of 2 tonnes.

Empathy all the way, baby.
