trying to fit my cinelli xa to my malvern star fork, but it doesn’t seem to want to fit. it seems like its a bit too big, but i’m not sure if perhaps it just needs to be ‘squeezed’ a little to get the end in… or will it not fit?
Grease? Is the bolt undone all the way? Is there poo in the steerer?
there is grease! yes undone all the way! minimal poo!
the stem had been done up a little bit and sitting that way for many years, so perhaps the end has flared out a little. it really looks like it should fit, but just won’t go in.
Some patience and lots o lube and you should be fine…
