Ease up on the hate for the presenter folks. He made a mistake. Like anyone here hasn’t.
Maybe so but he is broadcasting to the nation. We don’t “broadcast” except on this massively popular forum…
I don’t care what the ABC presenter said, all I want to know is how JLN’s links go to a BSNYC blog without advertising?
The problem as I see it is because market share is decreasing, and probably also due to the 24 hour news cycle, old school news outlets are re-branding news anchors as “news personalities”. This means that halfwits like those on sunrise, and the ABC presenters on screen here get the gig, rather than those who leave their own personal feelings off camera and just present the news in a clear and concise manner. The blame is not entirely on the journos though as no doubt the producers and executives are pushing them to make the news more interesting and appealing, and to show a bit of personality. It’s just another reason why I don’t have a TV in my house, I just can’t stand the theater of it anymore.

So after reading this on my lunch break, I got doored riding home after work. Ridiculous how fast it happens!
I’m just lucky I was slowing for the red light, the person that doored me is even luckier.
I understand but my mistakes weren’t espoused via a national media network. He can atone for his ignorance by making a public retraction that’s aired on camera during the same slot.
Otherwise a public person is open to derision if they get it wrong (like he has).
