T.A specialites - french thread

Hi all,
I bought a set of T.A specialites at the bike swap meet on saturday and while I can handle the odd 23mm crank extractor size I did not realise that it had French pedal threads…

Sheldon makes it clear that the cranks can be converted to standed english 9/16th but I dont want to purchase the pedal taps…

So who in Melburne would be best to take it to???

Commuter Cycles. They have done this conversion for me n the past.

Pony Bikes were going to re-tap my french pedal threads, until I found some nice french pedals…is this an option?

Thanks for the replies, how much was the conversion?

I was quoted $40…you could probably get some nice French pedals for that much

Very true P!N20, hmm its also the same price to order the taps off of the internet, ill have a think I don’t need the cranks just yet as Im still looking for a project to put them on.

Just one more thing maybe one of you can tell me if anybody imports Var tools into Australia VAR outillage v, Their french and still make a funky 22 & 23 mm crank extractor for TA cranks. Which is a lot cheaper than the one’s at Velo-orange
