no TdF chat in here this morning? really? haha i only saw a 7 min recap over breakfast, but looked like a crackin stage. then froome gets knocked off by a cop on his roll down the mountain post-stage! ---

my only hope left is that G flats in the time trial, giving TommyD enough time to get over the top of him & take the tour; leaving SKy depondant -with roglic beating froomey also & pushing him off the podium ---

There you have it. Geraint wins the TDF. By finishing in the top 3 in the ITT, behind only Froome and the World Champion. Roglic loses a minute. Nairo loses all hope forever. Geraint Thomas, from nowhere to Grand Tour winner. What an underdog story. Can’t wait to the see the movie. I wonder what the call it? “The Program II”? “Icarus Returns”? ---

That CT video with the owner of Silca (and former zipp head nerd) where he says ‘yeah those are custom 3d printed carbon cockpits - probably worth about 10k each and then they are using non-aero bottles and quick releases’ about Sky’s TT rigs. i’ll see if i can find it again. I was amused by G sitting up to give froome the TT win, only for froome to have missed it by a second. whoops! Thomas was so overcome by pure emotion at the win (and then gave a humble winners speech) that i am prepared to ignore his membership of the skynet.
