You shouldn’t, they are winter cyclo-cross shoes. The standard low-cut models may get pulled off your feet when running through deep mud, sand and snow. 
Apart from cyclocross, couriers in places like NY and Chicago etc also wear them during the winter when there’s snow.

I’d be awesome if they looked more like old school hi-top Vans or Adidas or something, and less like something out of the movie Aliens… oh wait, Reebok made those, they were called the Alien Stomper.

oldschool desert boots seem to work well for me. tough solid wearing, good in the wet, easy in the toe straps, not too flexy or stiff, easy on the eye…
