its pretty much training, but he is over in colorado riding/reuniting with the schelcks and contador in the first tour of colorado/quiznos pro challenge/coors classic.
i cant imagine how much loot went into getting all of them over there. his season is pretty much done… and i wouldnt expect much out of the schlecks/conty but for those looking for a warmup to the worlds it should be great. im guessing a radioshack/garmin victory with some of the domestic us teams (realcyclist/united healthcare/etc) playing the role of the french teams in the tour (ie breakaway specialists).
Apparently it is sooo hot at the moment there.
I’m guessing they are pretty well getting/got a good contract elsewhere, so yeah prob decided for a late summer holiday.
HTC has banned riders announcing new contract deals while the vuelta is on. I dare say it is all done and dusted.
Cav said that he was just way too fatigued. Will be interesting if Vuelta and UCI say it was injury related which would allow him to race Britain.
Green Edge will be fine on UCI points - they will likely be top dozen at the end of the transfer period.
I was in Spain 6 weeks ago and the weather was brilliant… for drinking and lying on the beach, maybe not 6 hours in the saddle. it does not make watching the vuelta on my laptop at 1 am in a tracksuit in bed very easy.
I found a better feed for the eurosport coverage elsewhere, can’t remember exactly. there’s a few good ones that come to mind: myp2p and firstrowsports. woke up and went back to sleep last night though, caught the finish of the usa pro challenge this morning, the feed from the official website is really good quality.
