It has two rear brakes! and anyone know what the bar end shifter on the left hand side is for (it already has ergo shifters. . .)

Hyperdrive. That looks seriously fast.

bar end controls the second rear brake. BITD there was a drum brake on the hub, and you could use it as a drag brake, using a shifter means you can set it at a certain level of retardation. (never go full regard)

I wouldn’t be too keen on dragging a disc or rim brake down a mountain pass though.
