+1 on the kudos for good writing Ezy. Someone smarter than me, while talking about someone more adventurous than both of us, once said that it’s not an adventure until something goes wrong. I think people who are confident bikepackers (etc.) have just gotten used to all of the little things going wrong and have developed a bag of tricks to deal with them. Sounds like you’ve now learnt a few of these tricks.
Can’t wait for the 3rd instalment.
