Stans is amazing.
Mrs. Spirito goes out with $20 for a cab fare home in case she flats. She can actually replace tubes OK now after some recent practice but it’s not really worth it (getting dirty, carrying pump, tyre lever etc) and I suggested she just cab it home. Good tyres, correctly inflated is pretty hard to beat. I haven’t seen anything except for FOSS tubes that I think aren’t compromised and worth trying.
I used the foss’s and I totally rate em.
I agree with this, and if it your gf’s bike is just for round town buy some good quality schwalbes or something, she won’t care that they are heavy and slow.
^ hate to dissagree but my wife complained bitterly when I put Randonneurs on her bike. A few months later swapped them out for something half their weight - she was much happier. I’d give sealant a go any day over heavy lifeless tyres.
Well I guess its horses for courses - I kinda worded that badly I meant she probably won’t notice. I know my Gf wouldn’t.
