U-brake/Canti brake adaptors?

I’ve got some old U-brake calipers which are designed for different bosses to regular cantilever brakes. Is there an adaptor between cantilever and U-brakes?

My understanding is there is an adaptor that uses a horseshoe and attaches to the centrebolt, but I can’t find an adaptor for between canti and U-brake bosses. Perhaps not possible?

Never seen one. Maybe just get a modern BMX U Brake and use that. It’s what I’m doing on the travesty, replacing XT with a Tektro
