tunulars are so nice to ride around on though -if it was socially acceptable i’d do it all the time, its a bt like my penchant for wearing velvet - if it was acceptable id be doing it all the time

So just a general reply to all of you, thanks for the overwhelming help. And i now definitely think its best to buy an already built bike, problem is all of your guys suggestions are bikes with frames too small (i think). Im roughly 181cm and dont think a 53/54 would do it for me? Although i have no clue what im saying. Any suggestions on the bigger sizes? And also parts to look out for on bikes? Cheers for the help guys :))))

you’re prob looking at roughly a 56 [top tube], do you know how your arm length compares with your height? im taller 184, but my arms are a bit shorter than my height so i ride slightly smaller than my height suggests with the seat raised

im looking myself presently for a track geometry bike which can take wider tyres; ive deleted some of the enquiries i made see if can’t can’t dig up a couple, i was happy to pick up some sugino 75 cranks for cheap off a guy, just under $50

56 is probably more suitable. What size is your frame? Does it feel too big/small?

This might be OK. It’s listed as a 58, but it doesn’t look that big to me: https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/mentone/men-s-bicycles/bianchi-pista-fixie-track-bike-58cm/1191280100

Man thats a bargin for 75s - Im at work, when i get home ill measure up my armwidth and inseam

I’ve got a 56cm Masi Speciale sitting around doing nothing.

Rebuilt the back wheel with new spokes and proper tension since that pic, came to me over strung and popped a few.

im not too keen on the look; more or less going for a more classic look i.e that bianchi, although cheers for the offer

yeah im not too into the just ride it bikes; my mate has had a bad experience with them. Although that bianchi looks very nice, how do the parts pair up to other alternatives? And isnt a 58 hugeee?

honestly my 55 feels fine and im not sure of the difference with bigger or smaller frames.

yeah i dont like them, they are heavy, and alot of the spokes are broken and i cbfd repairing them; would like a better quality set.

That is a sexy as fuck bike; but i think its too small?

58 will b fine with a slightly shorter stem [80-90mm] , tt on it is 57 I think, if u were a coule of cm;s shorter I had an Avanti pista 54 ive been riding which I could hav offloaded for cheap -im grabbing something with bigger tyre clearance

Yes, well that was before I knew how tall you are.

As I said, doesn’t look like a 58 to me. Take a tape measure with you. 58 may be from centre to top.

I blame the saddle bag.

Can’t dis BOGear stuff. You’re dead to me.
