I’ve found Elke a beautiful Nishiki GT touring bike over here in Vancouver. But it needs a little TLC.
Question for any or all of you.
Have any of you got any bar end shifters you might want to part with. Any, Suntour, Dia Compe, or Shimano, as long as they can be friction. Oh yeah, and possibly post to Vancouver!
The bike has a 6 speed freewheel on it. Can I put a 7 speed on it without respacing or redishing the wheel? I spoke to the friendly people at Community Bikes (ultra cool shop where you can go in and use a stand and their tools and work on your wheels) and they didn’t seem to think so. Thus, any suggestions for sourcing new 7 speed freewheels. I was looking at a Sunrace yesterday?
