What's the deal if someone hits you?

Was riding a few weeks ago and got hit by a car pulling out of the parking lane, fortunately I’m fine but unfortunately my bike frame is fuckkked! I was just wondering what the deal is, do I get this person’s insurance to cover it, or not?
