1936 Malvern Star

restore! apart from the chain the rest looks manageable. nothing like a bit of soapy water to clean, aluminium foil + water to remove rust on chrome and car polish to bring out the paint colour.

OK, so I decided what to do! I’ve built it up to race on the track. Pretty happy with the result.

Used a 700c fork to overcome the issue with the original wheels size.

Pedals are just for street riding, will swap them for clipless pedals when I’m racing.

Nice work. You turned that little project round pretty quickly by the looks of it.
Petty you couldn’t have kept those rad cottered cranks. The retro grouches will be in mourning
but I think you got a nice treadly out of that.

Thanks!

Going to race at our local track this Friday night.

OMFG

No front brake and strapless BMX flats? Death wish??

yes, also to add when street riding… front caliper and straps!

Good job! It’s a nice frame and it’s good that you’re using it. If it runs well and doesn’t look like a turd then there’s no problem. It’s only a waste if the frame doesn’t get used.

Black and white. Gota love that contrast. mate that is a wicked looking ride!

nice job,
The bike looks sikk
