i get this click every revolution coming from the BB or the cranks - but only under serious drive (only if outta the saddle and pushing uphill)
it started after a bad patch of rain recently.
tighten the crank bolts?

Chainring bolt…tighten that see is it better.
Also I find the Aluminum chainring bolt and aluminum chainring make a very bad clicking sound. I hate it…chemical welding?? (not too sure).
you mean the 5 little stack bolts?
tried that…no change
Mmmh throw a magnet on the chainring bolt to check if is steel or not. I love my steel bolt.
I dunno how old your BB is, but creaking and cracking often means its worn and needs to be replaced. Either that or you can take it out, re-grease it, and re-install it!
Works alot of the time.
could be your pedals. i had a creak recently that i though were the chainring bolts, so i tightened them, and no change. my next suspect was the BB, but then i changed the pedals and the click was gone.
Overhaul and regrease BB cups, spindle, crank bolts, and pedal threads while checking for wear or damage. If you dont have the tools or knowledge to do this your self please get your LBS to do it.
for me, a new bottom bracket was installed. The BB was due for replacement, but it wasn’t doing the complaining.
all it needed was some grease on the pedal threads to stop the clicking.
here is a list to work through
