I’m in the final stages of organising an alleycat for Friday the 22nd of Feb.
It will be a scavenger hunt style race where you will need to obtain and carry objects/perform tasks along the way to be able to pass checkpoints and gain new manifests.
If you havn’t taken part in an alleycat this should be a fun one to ‘pop your cherry’
ALL ARE WELCOME! (fixed, free, geared, brakes, brakeless, BMX whatever) just have some fun and leave your attitudes at home.
a bag and a lock will be crucial for this.
There are a few sponsors in the works so there will be some cool prizes up for grabs, hopefully its not just going to be the fastest legs getting across the line first.
how much stuff is there likely to be on foot?
i rock my fixie in road shoes which are obviously pretty ungainly to hop about in.
i’ve never done an alley cat before. can someone give me an idea of what to expect?
dont wanna give away too much mate, but you will be required to get on and off a fair bit and perhaps needed to move quickly on foot. would not recommend road shoes, although you might just have to rock what you’ve got yaknow?
