My wife recently got accepted into the Victorian Alpine Search and Rescue team: http://www.alpinesar.org.au.
They use the Garmin eTrex Vista HCX GPS unit as standard issue. She wants to spend a bit of time learning how to use one before the real deal.
Does anyone here in Melbourne have one she might be able to borrow for a few days?
