Anyone here running Shimano CX70 cranks?

Anyone here got a set of Shimano CX70 cyclocross cranks?

If you do, can I ask a massive favour and measure the stance-width (q-factor) between the pedals? I need to figure out if they will clear the chainstays on a particular bike. Thank you.
Measurement taken from left crank outer surface- right crank outer surface. I believe it is in the order of 150mm, but I need confirmation.

Yes I do. They’re awesome!

Outer surface? Don’t you want to measure the distance between the inside surface of both arms?

Ah sweet thanks nick. Um, yes both dimensions would be fantastic! Thanks so much.

No problem. While we’re at it, maybe you can take a photo of a left side MTB crank arm, from above?

Know how to Google?
Kidding of course I will take a photo.

Yeah I’ve heard of that. But I couldn’t find a picture that accurately shows the Q factor of the crank arm.

So get fucked

If you’re not careful I’ll give you a measurement for the CX70s that makes you think they’re not gonna hit your chainstay.

haha that would be evil

Using a crappy plastic vernier…

There’s about 124mm clearance between the inside faces of the crank arms.

So…the inside face of the crank is about 62mm from the centreline of the frame. On the Nova that gives about 10mm space between the chainstay and the crank.

The arms are ~14mm wide at the end. It’s a 170mm crank.

If that’s gonna be close, I can measure it more accurately for you.

Just crimp the frame, don’t worry about it!

Thanks Nick, that’s awesome I’ll check tonight and let you know. I’ll take a happy snap of the MTB crank arms for you. Might just fit…

Well it’s an alloy frame so I suppose I could file a bit off the chainstay.

If you could produce a point cloud that would be ideal.

I agree.

if it doesn’t clear on NDS, just put a spacer in. unless you’re one of those i cant ride with my feet and extra 1mm apart types.

Thanks.
Actually that’s something I’ve wanted to confirm- how many extra spaces can you get away with before you loose enough engagement with the LH crank/spindle spline? (assuming 68mm BB and road crank)
