Hey all! Being poor and not wanting to fork out gold for the airtrain, ( and its a very early flight) was just wanting to know if there is anywhere good to lock up for the weekend there?
Cheers

I’m not sure if there are designated bike racks. If no one else knows of any, a good plan B would be:
At the northern (QANTAS) end of the domestic there is a small area of undercover parking. There are big stainless fences that you could lock up on. The area is used for the airport concierge service so you could have a chat and get them to look out for it.
From the BAC website.
At the Domestic Terminal, bike racks are located on the ground level of the multi-level car park (P1). There are six stainless steel barriers in this location and they are not under cover.
Thanks BAC…
Hahaha, it’s alright though, the bike ill use can handle a bit of outdoor wear and tear, it’s been through a good 40 odd soviet winters. Good to know there are racks though!
For anyone interested for future reference, this worked a treat. Found a nice semi undercover rail to lock on to. Saved on 40 airtrain dollars. Had it there for 3 days.
Should have saved that on for TAG man
^ Yeah that woulda been sweet
I don’t know if I would’ve trusted my bike in a carpark for so long. But glad it worked out !
One positive of mental airport security means cameras everywhere! Yay
If you ever need to get to the airport on the cheap cheap (and don’t feel like riding/locking up) there is a Brisbane City Council bus that goes from Toombul Shopping Centre to the DFO every half hour. Then there is a free shuttle bus that goes from the DFO to both terminals every 15 minutes or so.
Just found out that bus 590 goes from Garden City via Carindale and Cannon Hill to the Airport DFO as well.
Just clicked who Andy vibes is hahaha
How’s melburn going
Just some dude who used to work at a certain surf/skate/whatever store in The Gabba once upon a time.
