all the kids run the Arrowspokes these days…
I love how the called it the “Gangsta-Track” frame, like it is a gangsta song.
Love it. I wonder who done his fitting?

Most obvious statement of the century?

so now we know who to blame
<coughs>
actually pharrell is a part-owner of BMW (brooklyn machine works). the founder is a friend of a friend and apparently pharrell has quite a stable of bikes (mainly old bmxes).
he gave kanye a neon yellow gangsta track at the start of his last US tour (that NERD supported him on). it was kanyes 2nd track frame (there was a whole bunch of noise earlier last year when he bought a vigorelli) and a guy from a NY sneaker shop taught him how to skid.
the aerospoke craze has been going on for considerably longer than that shot/post has existed. i’d wonder how long the word switch has been happening on this forum, then take a bunch of time off before that.
yeah… i will shut up now
Im sure both Pharell and Kanye West really ride heaps…
exactly what about a bike could make it gansta? do people do drive by shootings in LA whilst on fixies?

pharrell does at least, but kanye’s a douche so who really cares about him.
and “gangster” is the name of the frame, which as the name of the company may suggest, was designed and made in BROOKLYN NY, not LA
yeah, ol Pharrel is a BMX bandit from way back, Kanye, just an ass bandit.

I got your joke, paulx. Just remember this is a national forum and sometimes the Queenslanders need a little help.

Just thought I’d clear this up for everyone.
Arguably, the aerospoke craze began way back in 1974 when Skyway released their ‘revolutionary’ “Tuff 1”
Coincidently, about the same time Grandmater Flash was being influenced by DJ’ing skills of Kool Herc and began to develop the ‘quick mix’ and ‘cutting’ –
Sometime in 1982 Grandmaster Flash left a hilarious yet sarcastic remark on the Carnegie Mellon Computer Science online bulletin board. This remark was interpreted without the correct sarcastic tone and a lengthy argument ensured which resulted with Grandmaster Flash delivering this final message before the thread was locked
Flash: don’t push me, because I’m close to the edge… .
Thankfully at 11:44 on the 19th of September 1982 Scot E Fahlman cleared up the entire issue with this post
http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/~sef/Orig-Smiley.htm
These developments would altimetry culminate in “The Message” being released in 1983 and would go on to influence the likes of Pharrell and Kanye.
Everyone happy now?
