Ashes Thread

yep, read a thing about it yesterday. Apparently S.Waugh (captain of that test) enforced the follow-on for the next 7 opportunities, winning all 7 matches. It all changed when Ponting took over, he’s a much more conservative type, and Clark and Smith have followed suit.
The article basically said that the India test causing Aus to forego the follow-on is basically a myth.

Found it: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-07-19/ashes-myth-busting-no-follow-on-does-not-mean-defensive/6631964

I blame Kim Hughes

oh my god.

The G. Boxing Day. Debutante for England claims Davey Warner’s scalp on 99 after way too many nervous overs in the 90’s.

England fans go off, Aussie fans in disbelief.

But wait… the big screen shows the bowling crease… it’s a goddamn no ball.

The G goes fuckin bananas. Chaos ensues. Warner making his ton shortly after merely a footnote.

I loved every single second of it.

go cricket!!! what a cracking day it was weather wise.

yep, pretty much perfect.

tmrw however, it’s gonna be a sweat fest.
