not actually uncommon… a lot of high end mtn bike shoes have removables studs to provide extra traction when running with them in the intended environment, aka muddy, slippery trails, in cyclocross… see sidi/lake mountain bikes shoes.

still, i’m in love with the idea of riding my bike to a footy ground and not even having to change shoes.
I went to Aldi last night and found it all a bit shit - I shouldn’t be surprised I guess.
